Product Information
A fast dry long term outdoor vinyl ink designed to print on a
wide variety of vinyl and
vinyl coated products. Ideal for fleet markings and membrane switches. |
Application Information
Thinning: May be used straight from the can but it
is recommended to thin 5 - 15% by
weight with AM-1800 Thinner . Substitute AM-1800 Thinner with AM-1820
Slow
Thinner to improve screen stability when shop conditions are hot.
For maximum
lightfastness or outdoor durability, little or no thinning is recommended.
Additives: AM-1700 Clear should only be used to
increase transparency of colours .
However , this will reduce the durability and lightfastness of the
colour . Add 5 - 10%
DC-393 Gel Retarder to thinned ink to maintain screen stability.
Use a small
amount of AM-1730 Process Clear ink to improve print quality, if
required.
Wash-Up: AM-1800 Thinner AM-1840 Wash-Up
Coverage: Approximately 2100 sq.ft./1 U.S. Gallon
using a 280/in. monofilament
fabric.
Fabric/Stencil: 200 to 355 monofilament fabric
. Direct and indirect photostencil or
water soluble hand cut stencils are suitable.
Drying: By solvent evaporation . AM-0000 Series
air dries in 10 to 20 minutes or can
be Jet-Dried to 20-45 seconds at 150°F to 200°F. Allow more
time when overprinting to
avoid possible re-wetting of previous colours.
Die Cutting/Creasing/Vacuum Forming: Can be successfully
die cut or creased but
should be tested prior to production . AM-0000 series has excellent
vacuum forming
characteristics . Gloss levels may increase during vacuum forming
depending on
temperature and substrate used. |
